Stuck In a Rut? - Nothing Changes Until You Change!
Are you ready for a change?
I hope that you answered yes to that previous question.
If you want anything to change, then you must change.
Because nothing changes until you do.
How do I know this?
I found myself stuck in a rut.
I was stuck in a debilitating, soul destroying cycle of inaction.
I was constantly weighed down by my self imposed shackles of doubt and fear.
I spent way too long in that debilitating, soul destroying cycle of inaction.
I complained that I was stuck in a rut.
I was afraid to move forward with my life.
I was overwhelmed.
My mind was scattered, at the time you could sum up my life in just three words, procrastination, inconsistency and indecision.
I had well and truly lost my Mojo.
I was practically a shadow of my former self.
It got so bad that at times I actually didn't recognise myself.
I had gone from a confident jack the lad character, to a diluted version of my former self.
I decided there and then that "enough was enough."
I decided that I would break free from the self imposed shackles that had been keeping my greatness held hostage for far too long.
It was then that I made a terrific breakthrough.
The answer had been staring me in the face all along.
I had been doing the same thing over and over again and expecting to get a different result.
Albert Einstein stated that his definition of insanity was, "
doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result."
Was I insane?
No I wasn't.
Had I been acting like I was?
You bet your ass I had.
I knew that if I wanted to break free from my cycle of inaction then something had to change.
Things definitely couldn't go on as they had been.
That's when it finally dawned on me like a tonne of bricks falling down on me from the heavens.
I had to change my patterns of behaviour.
I had to do things in a different way.
I had to make some changes.
And for things to change I knew that I had to change.
I couldn't run the same patterns of behaviour, otherwise I would end up with the same results.
And the moment that I decided to change, my whole life changed for the better.
I decided to try anything to get myself unstuck
And I am embarrassed to tell you that I managed to get myself unstuck almost immediately.
I simply had to change the way that I was thinking, and that enabled me to get a totally different result.
The only thing that is keeping you stuck in your rut is your own habitual thinking patterns.
Once you decide to change your thinking patterns you will find yourself unstuck faster than you can imagine.
And if you are anything like me you will want to kick yourself for not doing it sooner.
If you are feeling stuck in a rut, then it is definitely time for a change.
Remember, nothing changes until you change.
So its time that you stopped thinking about what you should or shouldnt be doing, and took some action and just got on with it.
